1. Fundraiser
Just a quick note. Kathy has setup a fundraiser for the church.

We need 8 people to volunteer to be ushers at a concert. We’ll raise money for our building fund and at the same time get to enjoy a free concert at the Sheriton.

Ideally we could gather a group of 12 people and rotate as these concerts will be an ongoing fundraiser perhaps once a month. Details Below:

2. Free Office Equipment
After cleaning out the office completely, I have a lot of stuff that would like a home.
Call if you’re looking for something in particular, but the following is available…
-Computer monitor
-4 year old Computer
-Coffee Maker
-Various Office supplies (staplers, tape dispensers, rulers, etc.)
-Network Router (NOT wireless)
-Set of 2 Cordless Phones (will be available next month after I transfer the church number to a cell phone)
-Paper shredder.
-More… I’m finding more as I go through boxes and put aside duplicate items that need a home.
You are my family, so you are welcome to anything I have for free. If the Lord leads you to make a donation to CCAK, that’s fine too. But don’t feel obligated. These items will end up at Goodwill eventually if no home is found for them.

3. Contribution Summary.
A huge Thank You to Ed and Arni for being the backbone of our finances. They take care of the weekly offering collection, deposit, tracking, budgeting, and year end contribution summaries.
Please remember to thank them for their tireless effort.

Good Morning CCAK Family!

Wow, what a powerful conference this past weekend with Randy Clark. I had never met or heard Randy before, but he was such a wonderful speaker. He was down to earth, a wonderful speaker, and powerful minister.

This Sunday, Joe will be sharing with us a testimony of what God did for him this past weekend. You know his testimony that he got into a car accident racing at the raceway in Kapolei. And because of that he had many screws and bars placed in his leg to rebuild it after the accident. Stay tuned to hear what God did this Sunday and how God used him to minister to another man at the conference.

Good Morning CCAK Family!

Our cafeteria at Kapolei Elem. School has been renovated and I’m told it is absolutely beautiful.

Can’t wait to see you on Sunday for our Worship Gathering. Same time, 9:15am the gathering begins with testimonies, prayer, and worship.

And Randy Clark is coming to town!

Remember next weekend we have a special inter-church event.

Saturday Jan. 16th from 1:30pm Randy will be conducting a mini healing school at

Living Streams Christian fellowship

Sunday Jan. 17th we will be having a Joint Worship Gathering in conjunction with the mini healing school.

Same place, worship starts at 8:00am.

There are some important things you need to know as you come to these events.

There is no registration or registration fee required to attend.

But we will be enforcing strict guidelines especially in the area of parking and childcare.

There is no childcare and children will not be allowed to play and roam around unsupervised without a parent. We do reserve the right to forbid entry or remove anyone from our premises as necessary.

We will be blocking off the playground area and children will not be allowed to play in this area during the sessions.

We will have a room available for younger children, but they must be supervised by at least one parent, even while in the room.

We are encouraging the older children to sit in the conference with their parent to learn.

Parking at the church will be reserved for people with a valid City and County handicap permit, our conference staff, and pre-authorized volunteers.

We suggest carpooling. There is plenty of on street parking. Please be respectful of the neighbors and avoid blocking their driveways. We will not be responsible for cars that are towed and/or ticketed.

There are several eateries in the Kaimuki/Palolo area. Lunch and dinner are on your own. Please plan accordingly.

I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but we want everyone to enjoy what promises to be a very powerful and life changing conference. To ensure this we want all attendees to be mindful of others.

Conference Schedule:

Saturday Jan 16
2 pm: Session 1
5 pm: Dinner Break
7 pm: Session 2

Sunday Jan 17
8:30 am: Joint Worship Service (Session 3)
  12:30 pm: Lunch Break
  2 pm: Session 4
  5 pm: Dinner Break
  7 pm: Final Session

Worship will begin 30 minutes before each session, except for the Joint Worship service on Sunday. Schedule is subject to change.

Also, some will be wondering about tithing and offerings.

It is the heart of Laulima that all tithes remain with the churches. Please give your tithe in advance this Sunday or the following week when we’re back at Kapolei Elementary School.

There will be an offering taken for Randy Clark. No registration fee to attend. But that being said, Laulima is investing literally thousands of dollars to bring Randy and his assistant to Hawaii so we would like to bless him for sowing into the revival of Hawaii.

This is a very unique circumstance and we ask for your cooperation, patience, and understanding. What a great opportunity we have to experience what Revival would be like!

Happy New Year CCAK Family!

I’m praying for an increase for all of you in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and people.
It’s time to arise and shine because our light has already come and the glory of the Lord is upon you and me.
This is going to be a wonderful year as we listen and obey our Father and passionately pursue more of His Presence.

Just wanted to drop you a line for what’s coming up this week.

Sunday we will be back at Kapolei Elem. School.
We had a great time ministering to the residents at Ka Punawai Ola last weekend. The staff and residents were so blessed. You could just see the difference our presence and the Presence of God made in their lives that morning. Several times throughout the service I caught a glimpse of the cafeteria workers popping their heads out to sing a song or just listen and enjoy the service. Thank you for being there, praying for our ministry there, and blessing those dear people.

Renovations on the Kapolei Elem. School cafeteria continue, so we’re planning to hold the worship service outdoors in front of the school where we hold Easter Sunrise Service. We will be bringing in extra equipment (chairs and tables we don’t normally bring) so if you can help by coming early or staying for cleanup, that would be appreciated.

Also, we are in the midst of our office move. The Hviddings helped me move a desk and bookshelves into my home office and I am so greatful. There is much more to do so stop by and lend a hand if you are able.

Hi all,
The following is from Pastor Dean Fujishima’s newsletter.  I think it encapsulates the season we’re in right now.  It’s a season of change.  And we need to embrace that change.
If you don’t already, let me encourage you to subscribe to his newsletter so that you can stay in touch with how God is leading him.  I believe Pastor Dean has a major role in the future of the Church in Hawaii so I’m tuning in and listening to him and listening to the Lord.  Perhaps you will be led to do the same.

In this journey, I feel so much like Abraham.  Sometimes, we feel like we don’t know where we’re going.  I can relate so much more with Abraham.  When God told him to leave his country, he didn’t know any of the details.  He just went and uprooted his whole family.  For each of us, the Lord is speaking to us and asking us to do things and go places and minister to people.  We don’t have to have all the details, we just have to listen, trust, and obey.

I’d love to be able to share a compelling vision of where I see the Lord taking us in the next 5 years and how we’re going to get there.  But honestly, I can’t and I don’t think God leads that way very often.  More often, He leads us on a faith journey.  God says, “Go.” and we respond by going.
For our church family, I can tell you that Hawaii is in a revival now.  And if we listen to God and follow where He leads, things will change.  We will either participate in the revival or we will get left behind.

I’ve missed my share of opportunities, and I’m not willing to miss this revival.  What about you?  The journey in revival is not easy, nor is it comfortable.  but it is exciting.  I believe there is much more for us and we need to align ourselves properly with the right people and ministries.  And we need to be willing to change, even if it means leaving our old life and what we’re comfortable with behind.  I tell you that I am not comfortable walking this way, but I know that God is with me and He is preparing our way.

It’s okay to miss what has past, but don’t get stuck there.  God is moving on and like the Israelites, we have the choice to continue following the pillar of cloud and fire or stopping without getting to our destination.

This is my heart for us…

Dear LMI Family of Supporters,

From the inception of Laulima Ministries International on February 14, 2004, the Lord promised me if I obeyed Him, He would show me a new way to do church.  But it was a conditional promise.  He said, “From now on, when I ask you to do something, you need to obey Me. If you don’t obey when I ask you to do something, don’t do it at all!”

Instantly a sense of urgency and a need for radical obedience filled my heart!

It wasn’t a voice of condemnation, but actually the opposite.  It had a tone of deep desire!

Father so loves us and wants the very best for us. Yet, I believe, if I chose not to obey, my own regret would be self inflicted. I would simply miss out on yet another opportunity to understand His ways.  This was too high of a price for me to pay!

My marriage is such an example.  The Lord offered me a choice, either to get married or remain single.  At one time, I realized singleness was His best for me. “I can still use you if you get married, but I can use you in different ways if you remain single,” were His exact words.

Thus I chose to live a celibate life for 18 years.

Then the season changed for me, but I wasn’t ready nor wanting a change.  I had become familiar with my lifestyle. I even used scripture to support my stance, after all the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Cor 7:6-7, “I say this as a concession, not as a command. I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.”

Although Paul endorses singleness, he also acknowledges that each person has a different gift.  Marriage is one gift and singleness is another.

I now realize that singleness was the Lord’s best for me for a season, but when my season changed, I needed to change with it!

Over a span of a year, people I respect and dearly love started to affirm through prophesy and wise counsel a new direction in my life. It was the road of matrimony!

I was upset at the Lord and I became irritated at everyone else.

I had charted a course for my life and I felt betrayed by my trusted Friend!  I dug my heels into the ground and refused to budge. I even argued, saying, “I can’t trust you. You tricked me.” But He let me throw my little tantrums. I ended up ignoring Him.  Yet He never left my side!

Then one day it dawned on me, and I saw the light, “I need a bigger God!”

Today, I can honestly say, marrying Kerry has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.  After deciding to follow Jesus of course!

It’s interesting how easily familiarity grips us and routine becomes the norm.  We love structure as we much as we love maintaining a safe and cozy home!

But it is within the interior walls called familiarity, where we often imprison God!

I thought it was interesting that Jesus chose to use two types of animals and their “homes” to challenge us about following Him.

“Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow you wherever You go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
(Luke 9:57-58)

Foxes are known as sly and cunning animals who hide in holes.  Birds of the air can represent unclean spirits which are restless and seek out places of rest. (If you don’t possess it within yourself, you’ll be driven to manufacture it externally!)

Could it be why Jesus learned carpentry, so He could remodel homes whenever He saw fit?

Yes, change is intimidating but change is good!  Welcome change into your life. Change is a great teacher. Change will change you and keep the foxes and birds away!

Is it time for your house to be remodeled again?

Good morning CCAK family!

Just wanted to share another great testimony….
Remember a few weeks ago we had special guests Randy and Gay Hongo minister at our church. And when they arrived, Aunty Gay asked for a high chair to sit on because her back was giving her trouble. We asked for other prayer requests and Uncle Randy shared about some health issues he’s been dealing with. My mom, Claire, and some others prayed for Uncle Randy. My mom said, “Wow, that was the first time I felt my hands burning with the power of God as I prayed…” Randy was touched.

A few of us prayed for Aunty Gay’s back. Instantly, her pain went away. Later in the service, Aunty Gay shared that her back felt great and there still was no pain. Well, I just attended their Christmas Concert on Sunday evening and she again commented to me, “I have no back pain. I’ve been totally healed!”

Yeah God!

Even as I write this, I can sense an increase of the presence of God in my office. Remember that testimonies carry the power to build a person’s faith and release more miracles. Please continue to share your testimonies with me and the rest of our church family. And step out in faith. Just like the title of the book says, “If you want to walk on water, you have to step out of the boat.” Be blessed and be a blessing!
